Decision that cheques on all banks (provided that they are local Banks) should be accepted in payment of Govt. dues irrespective of whether a bank has a dealing account with the Imperial/Reserve Bank of India or not subject however to the other restrictions laid down in article 6 of the civil Account code, Volume-I of Rule 79 of the new Treasury Rules.
