With the approval of the Government of India, rules were created by the Chief Commissioner of Delhi under section 544 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for the payment of fees to expert witnesses called to testify in criminal courts in the Union Territory of Delhi. Rule V(4) was modified, and the Delhi Administration issued a notification to that effect.
