(1) A claim regarding the settlement obligations of the late Shri Roshan Lal, a Yard Foreman for the N.W. Railway in Karachi City who had chosen Pakistan on a provisional basis and was assassinated there on 8.9.47. The widow received payments from the Northern Rly of (i) Rs. 1492/8-on account of S.C. to P.F. and (ii) Rs. 10039/31 on account of SRPF including interest up to 14.8.1947. take a look at G.M., Northern Rly's letter No. 29TRE/586 from 24 January 1962 (2) Through letter No. 55-PTN-152/6 dated September 23, 1957, the General Manager of Northern Railway was informed that the payment of President Fund dues for Provisional Pakistan Optees Killed in Pakistan should be loaded under a new minor head, Payment to Provisional Pakistan Optees Killed in Pakistan of their President Fund dues including special contribution to Provident Fund or gratuity to be opened under the Major Head 15-D Miscellaneous Railway Expenditure.
