Extracts from H.M's Budget Speech for 1955-56. Proposal to raisethe contribution from railway even as to the staff benefit fund. Decision: 1) the rate of contribution from railway revenues to the S.B. fund raised from Re. 1/- to Rs. 2-2/- per head per annum w.e.f. 1-4-55; upto end of March, 1958. 2). the cost of maintenance of the child and maternity centres will bedebitable to Railway Revenues, w.e.f. 1.4.55. 3). the increased rate of contribution will be applicable for the S.B.F. of I.R.C.A., The question of further increasing the rate of contribution to Rs. 3/- per capita was also examined but no decisions were taken
