Canteens facilities. 1. Enquiry from central Rly as to., (i) Whether the administration may bear rent on sanitary and electric installation service taxes and charges for water and electricity consumed in respect of those canteens also which are run by committee of management as envisaged in Board's letter no. E(Coop) /55/canteen/11 dated. 13-9-56. (ii) Whether the supply of equipment and furniture is to be confined to the initial stages only or whether whey can be supplied whenever additional requirements are asked for. Clarified (i) that the facilities should be extended to canteens handed over to committees of Managements for cooperative societies as per Board's letter of 13-9-56 referred to and (ii) that additional equipment and furniture may be provided at the administrations cost whenever a canteen is expanded to cater for more staff provided it is considered that such additional equipment is necessary. II. Decision that cinders scrap timber, steam coal etc. may be sold to canteen on the same conditions on which the are sold to Rly staff
