Recruitment guidelines for the IAS etc. examination 1966 so far as they pertain to the IRAS, TT and CD and Railway Board Sectt: Service, Class II. The Railway was sent a copy of the rules. Decision: Appendix I-B, which lists professional qualifications for appointment to the TT and CD, should be removed from the rules. The UPSC and the Ministry of Home Affairs were advised to revise the exam's syllabus and scheme, but they were not accepted. The recommendation is made to the Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs to introduce Transport Economics as an extra optional subject for the examination.
