(i) Distribution of the post-45 vacancies in the various depts. to the several categories revision of the number of vacancies consequent on partition; (ii) Appointment of 'Men in the Forces, within the normal age limits' to the Rly. services:- viz., T.T. and C.D. Messrs. B.V. Joshi, N.C. Jerath, Hardip Singh, Ajit Rosha, A.H. Khan, B.M. Bhattacharjee, N.K. Roberts and J.N.Patole (did not accepted offer). Establishment. Messrs. M.P. Bahadur, R.M. Roy and Thomas Jacob, Elect. Engineering. M.G. Fraser offer subsequently cancelled for security reasons. Review of the number of reserved vacancies and correspondence with the Home Ministry re: the impossibility of taking additional no. of war-service candidates in the Rly. Services further allotment of the following war-service candidates accepted:- 1- Mr. D.P. Mukherji- Stores. 2. Mr. A.K. Rao- do-. 3. Mr. R.Ramachandra Rao-do- 4. Mr. Ekambaram- Mech. Engg. Review of the seniority given to war-service candidates appointed to the Stores Dept. and decision to give pre-1946 benefits to all the candidates allotted to the dept. Request from Mr. D.P. Mukherji for higher initial pay and better terms rejected; cancellation of the offer issued to him
