Ministry of Labour and Employment. Minimum Wages Act, 1948-Maintenance of Wages register and issue of wage slips to workers employed on Railway/departmental works covered by the Act. Decision that for a period of 5 years from the issue of the notification, the provision of section 12, 13, 14 and 18 of the Minimum Wages Act, 1942 shall not apply to railway servants who are on time scales of pay approved by Central Government and governed by the provisions of Chapter VIA of the Indian Railway Act, 1890 and the Indian Railway Establishment Code and who are employed in any schedule employment on Railways
