Forwards extract of an order dated 20th june 1849 by the Brigadier commadnign at Peshawur f lieutt garnett of Engineers at the disposal of the Dy commander trans indent to erect a fort at Kohat with a letter in explanations that the lieutt was employed rather in altering and repairing the old fort at Kohat.
