Annex Copy of the joint Deputy commissirary General letter with a statment of the number of the Elephants preseribed by goverments in 1834 and those present at the several commissarial stations within his circle of superintendence showings a deficiency of 134 Elephants (but should no European Regt. be guartered at permanently at ghazeepore in such case 35 to be deducted from the above number and solicitings authority for executive commissarial officers to purchase as many serviceable Elephant as may be procurable , to complete their Establishements, the reason assigned for the defiecency is, that recomanned the purchase of as many complete the establishment.
