Sanctining the old regt. color being retained with the 49th N.I. With reference to G.G.O. 3rd oct. last regarding the retention of scondemned clolres by regts. annexes copy of lr. from the officer commanding the 49th N.I. and solicit that the Regt. may be permitted to retain the old regt. colr which was recently condemned and replaced by their board.
