Intimating that by G.G.O. of the 23rd Sept. 1848, no. 358 para. 8, two ammunition Waggons per gun and howitzer are fixed as the proportion for every troops and Cattery proceeding on serirce. And in further once of a disire expressed in the 24th para. of courts Mily. letter to Bengal no. 123 Date 5th November 1851, requesting the opinion of hte Govt. of Fort St. George as to the disirableness of extending this proportion to the Artillery of that Presidency.
