Transmitting copy of mily letter from the Honable the Captain of Directore to the Government of the Presidency of Fort War in Bengal no 78 dated 18th October 1848 of communication from pay master Leech A M 9th Laucers relative to a retranchment standing against that officer which has been remitted by the Honable Captain under the circumstances there in stated.
