In reply to his lr. of the 27th may last.With reference to Mily. Deptt. lr. Dt.17th June 1848 states that James O'Colnnell son of the late Serjt. Jas. O'Connell 3rd Coy.4th Battn. arty. is still entitled to the bounty of govt. & will continue to be so until of the age of 14th years if not previously provided for he is now only 9 years2 months.
