Submits, fro favorable consideration an original letter from Captain Strange, in charge of th egreat Longl. series, representing the embarrassment, experienced by teh sub Assistant, of his party in meeting their encreased, expenses, consequent on the high rates, of servants, wages and provisions which prevail in the country forming the same of their albors, states, that case, adn recommends, that each of the sub assistant, attached to that series be allowed 30 Rupees per mensem as compensation for additional. expenses incurred by them during, such period, as they may be presenting their duties int he desert west of Rajpotana and in lower scinde.
