Transmitting for the infromations of the Govt. of Madras , copy of a report from the Bengal Military auditor General no 66 of the 7th Instant. from which it appears that no troops of any decription have been despatched to Hong Kong from Bengal since the Hostilities in 1841/42 nor have any expenses been passed here on account of any force that might have proceeded from the other Presidencies or Her majestry Colonies to the above Island and that all connection between china and this Presidency cased from the 1st sept'r1843.
