With reference to the remit trands discovered in respect to the Mily. fund as reported in his letter of the 6th & 9th ultimo and to a letter from this department of 5th august 1842 submits for necessary order a letter from the presy. pay mster soliciting that the privilege of making all payment s on account of the Mily. fund through his ofice may be withdrawn.
