With reference to a letter of th 21th july last obsense the ststament preferedf by the Mily. audr. Genel. at madras distivety shew a considerable saving by sending two regiment of native infantry of the present strengh 700 privates instead of one regiment augmented to 100 privated 70 havlidars and 70 naicks .
