In contination of his ofice letter no. 5744 of the 10th feb. last relative to tghe liability of the late surgeon Griffithes on acount of defaleation which took place in the purnach poast office during his incumhency transmits copy communication from the deputy post master Genel. from which will be be san that the libility of the surgeon has not yet been ascertained .
