With reference to Military Depatt. letter no. 65 A of the 4th Instt. states that, after a careful investigation of the case in the field office of accounts, aided by Deputy Commissary General Captain Newbolt, and a full consideration of all that has alresdy passed on the subject, he has no hesitation in repeating his opinion, that the claim of Lalla Joteepersand to the sum of Rs. 471,058-9-3,1/2, in connection with the accounts of the 2nd Affghanistan Campaign, is just and valid.
