With refrence to your letter no 18 of the 25th Febuary last, forwarding an Extract from a report by Major Wilner 14th Light Dragoons relative to the accommdations on Board the Flats on which the Detachment under his command proceeded from Chinsurah to Allahabad, Iam now directed to commander in Chief the accompanying Copy of a letter from the Deputy Quater Master General of the army no 432 of the 23th Ultimo. with its annexed letter from the office of superintendent marine a nd to remark that it does not appear to the most noble the Governor General in Council that there was any neglect on the part of he authorities in Calcutta in any dimmtion of space ordinarily given to Troops proceeding up the country in the Government vessels.
