With reference to a lr. of the 20th Ultimo solicits attention to the fact, that as the arrangement advertyed to in para 17 & 18 of Cos Lr. of 11th April 1839 never have been published major Genl.Carrtight must necessarily have been in ignorance of their existence when he sanctioned the transfer to Col.Dick of the comd. of the station of Barrakcpore.
