Submits for cinsidered & order a letter from Major Scott pension pay master in audr. with the list 25 roll of decused pensioner which accompanied it intimating the irequent accurrence of fiandulent practiees on tyhe part of hiers of ceccased pensioner in vie to obtion more arrease stipend than they are entilled to and suggenting as a remedy to pervent such practies in future that genrally the payment of arreas of stipends on acct. of seceased pension by limited to four month except when the body has been iventified by a european officer amda certificate to that effect permished to the heir and that in spacial cses to claim be left to the division of the pay master or sumitted by him for the order of Govt.
