Sanction of the Secretary of State for India to 1. the officers of the Indian Medical Service in temporary Civil employ who were recalled to military duty during the war being allowed to count such military service as service toward the period of three years which they are required to pass in civil emloy to become subject to the civil leave rules, and 2. the proposal that the grant of furlough to the officers of the I.M.S. whose intial entry into the civil department has been delayed by the war, before the completion of three years continuous Service in civil employ appointment provided that they are re-employed in the civil department on return from leave.
