In continuation of Despatch No. 19 dated 8th June 1883, transmits for consideration copy of a letter from the Government of the North-Western Provinces and Oudh, containing the remarks of His Honour the Lieutenant Governor and Chief Commissioner on the Government of India Resolution, dated 22nd September 1882, relative to Jail manufactures, together with a copy of the reply thereto.
