Protest of Kashmir traders against the imposition, by the Government of the North-Western Provinces and oudh, of a duty of Rs.80 a maund on charas imported into those Provinces. Petition of traders for the exemption from duty in the Punjab and North-Western Provinces of 700 maunds of charas remaining over from last year`s rejected. Resolution of the Finance and Commerce Department leaving it to the Local Governments concerned to take any action they may consider desirable.
