Proposed re-arrangement of the gazetted establishment of the Opium Department. Proposals regarding(i) the reduction of the existing district charges from 38 to 34,the three appointment of the Factory Superintendent, Ghazipur, and his two Assistants remaining as at present, (II) the re-classification of charges into 22 divisions and 12 sub-divisions, (III) the Provision of an adequate leave and deputation reserve, and (iv) the temporary suspension of the present system of recruitment in favour of recruitment from the carde of Deputy Collectors. Deputation of two Deputy Collectors to the Opium Department as a temporary measure.
