Sanction of the Secretary of State to the reduction from Rs.250 p.m. to Rs.150 p.m. of the special pay of the Divisional Officer in the U.P. employed on Irragation research work in addition to his own duties. Decision that the appointment by the U.P. Govt. of a Provincial Service officer to periors the reserch duties would not be subject to the instructions of the Secretary of State under rule 3(2) of the Reserved Posts (other services) Rules, 1938, as there would be no question of leaving a reserved post unfilled.
