Letter from the President and Council of Bombay , stating that they have dispossed of the Saltpetre and copper consigned to them by the Admiral Sir Edward Hughes for rupees 2,22000 that there was a deficiency of rupees 77 in the consignment of treasure received by that ship , that an embargo of pepper sandal- wood and other articles of merchandise from Tipu Sultan`s ports o nthe Malabar Coast and that they have arranged to send 2,000 bales of cotton to Canton in the ensuing season, and enclosing a register of certificates granted by them on the Board, as also a copy of a letter from Mr. Thomas Farquharson and three protested bills of exchange.
