Letter from Capt. John Murray, Commissary-General, stating that the Board orders of the 7th March, 1783, which discontinued grantuities for commanders of Sepoy regiments andbattalion reached Col. Pearse detachment in March, 1784, asking whether grantuties should be passed up to that date inthis case, and whether some Sepoys ar to be allowed batta for the time they were absent on leave to worship a Battajee, and enclosig a letter from the Paymaster of the detachmet serving in the Carnatic.
