Letter from Dr. Francis Balfour, requesting patronage to his translaton of the Insha-i-herkern, by being granted the usual allowances for nunshis ,from the date of his appointment as Persian Interpreter to the Resident at Benares and further stating that he has prosented the Orientled Society with a treatise on the introduction of the Arabic into Persian and on the language of Hindustan.
