Letter from Mr.John Fergusson to Mr.Edward Hay, Acting Secretary enclosing a list of the vessels by which 80,000 bags of rice have been despatched to Madras and alos the insurance policies and bills of lading for the respective cargoes requesting an advance of Sicca rupees 173,333-5-4 being the amount due to him agreeable to the terms of his contract and stating that a futher supply of rce will be soon despatched to Madras to make up any defeiency that may occur in the quantity contracted for .
