Letter from the President and Council of Canton , promising to engage soldiers willing to serve on the Bengal establishment reporting that they have received the 10 lakhs of rupees remitted to them and that they have granted bills of exchange for all the certificates come to hand enclosing several coins to be assayed asking the Board in feature to send an assay table of each assortment of species with every consignmt intimating that they expect to be very well supplied with money this year reporting that Admiral Vernor has inproperly demanded the Chinese Veicroy to settle the claims of the British subjects on Chinese merchants enclosing a list of their shpping and styating that they have been well off this season for conveyances fo the despatch of their investment to England.
