Bagshaw has been permitted to go to Bengal for the recovery of his health reporting the arrival of His Majesty s ship Carisfort intimating that he has declined to accept certain nutmeg and clove plants offered by the Captain of the Surprise and stating that His Majesty s ship Resistance reported to have been wreked will sail shortly for the Coromandel Coast.
