Government - In reply to communication of the 9th. March last regarding the arrangements for the Government of Prince of Wales Island Singapore and Malacca State that they have fixed the 31st. July next as the period of final transmission to Bengal of the Account of Singapore and Malacca - Have not considered it necessary to make any alteration in the administration of Public affairs at those settlements report on the course of conduct which the chief Authorities there have been recommended to pursue with reference to the approaching charages. Have apprized the extra Civil Servants of the late Bencoolen Establishment of the Courts orders respecting them.
