From Board - Submit copy correspondence on the subject of repairs to the Planet by Mr. Kyd in 1831. Mr. Surveyor Seppings apprehends that the orders of Government of 15th February of that year originated in an impression on the part of Government unfavorable to this Professional Judgement in as much as it removed him from the Control and supervision of that particular Work, and contends that the repairs were executed by Mr. Kyd in a very incomplete & defective manner. The Board submit that the only point for consideration is the Expediency of any futher enquiry.
