From Board - In reply to letter of 7th Instant on the necessity of keeping up a Quarantine at this Port any longer. State that in the absence of authentic information relative to the Public Health of the states bordering on the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea it is impossible for them to offer an opinion. Will refer tothe Medical Board of Bombay for information in regard to the Plague having prevailed at any one time.
