From Advocate General - In reply to letter of 10th Ultimo on the subject of a Regulation for directing the performance of Quarantine by particular Vessels coming to Calcutta, will be happy if required to place in the regular form any plan which the Government may think proper to direct. It appearing to him that one equal term of Quarantine at Calcutta & Bombay cannot be always necessary - Government may enforce penalties from Natives Arabs or other people of the East but not from Natives of England without Registering the Regulation in the Supreme Court - Suggests that the Regulation direct the Pilots not to bring within the Port or River any Ships whose Commanders will not consent to their being taken if necessary tot he Quarantine Station.
