May last, forwarding copy of a letter and statement from the Post Master General and states that the case of Captain Mackinlay is very different from the other Post Masters who have been engaged in Contracts. Thinks that the principle of not allowing Post Masters to hold Contracts within their own Division is one of general expediency.
