To Secretary Bengal - With reference to letter dated 29th October last with enclosure forwards for information copy of a letter from the Director General of the Post Office dated 22nd Ultimo on the subject of damage done to Books sent by the Book Post during the rains & informs that officer has been instructed to notify that during the rains all Government Books shall be sent by the ordinary Banghy packed in tin & not by Book Post.
