From General Committee of Public Instruction-- With reference to Governer Generals Minute of the 24th November 1839, and to a letter from Mr. Secretary Bushby dated 15th July last, submit after a careful investigation a scheme for the purpose of placing the Oriental Colleges and Seminaries under their control on an efficient footing, and for introducing a general system for the advancement of Native Education involving an increase dto the education fund of Rs. 1,11,385 to be eventually raised to Rs. 1,49,740.
