From Marine Board - In reply to letter of 23rd Ultimo. Have directed to whole establishment of the Enterprize to be discharged with exception to the Engineers and Stokers who have been retained for bringing the Engines into order. Refer to Captain Forbes report relative to the number of Stokers & Engineers required to be kept up for the 3 Sea going Steamers, Enterprize Gages & Irrawaddy, recommend Captain Clappertons suggestion that the 3 Chief Mates be retained and request to know under what head of account the charges are to be adjusted in future.
