To Officiating Commissioner of Police - With reference to a documents published in one of th calcutta daily papers purposting to he issued under his orders & informing the proprictors of certain presses that the daily papers issued from thence are not required at his office information him that the delivery of suchpapers is enjoined & required by law & that if he has sanctioned a departure from the law in the respect he ought not to had done so without first obtaining the authority of the government it is not considered necesary to council his order but he is to undertand that on the supposition that the document is really what it purports to be he has execcded his powers.
