Resolution - Forwards to the Military Department the foregoing Correspondence with the Director General with a request that the Commandant of the Pegu Light Infantry may be called uypon to report the number of Malays attached to the Regiment and how in any letters on an average are received and sent by them and how many are likely to be sent if the ordinary rates of Indian Postage be charged on them whether sent via Moulmein by the pluto or by the Mail Contract pockets also if sent by the Mail Packets how many letters he would propose should be received once despatched every Month at the Indian rate of Postage supposing the Government to pay the difference between that and the Mail Contract pocket rate on each letter.
