Director General - Proposes revival of the negotiation between the Honble Court of Director and His Majestys Government for reducing the postage charge on letter by Her Majestys mail packets passing between India and England to Six pence of which one penny would be credited to India, in which case Indian. Inland Postage would not be chargeble on letters received or sent by His Majesty mail Packets observe that Indian correspondence should not be more highly taxed than the correspondence of other British Possessions.
