To Director General Post Office - In reply to his letter dated 24th October last forwards the foregoing letter from the Superintendent of Marine and is of opinion that the plan proposed by him vizt that the after packet should be despatched to Diamond Harbour by Horse Dack and thence to Kedgeree by the small Steamer which is now building for the Master Attendants Department should be adopted which will involve an extra expense of not more than 300 Rs.a month.
