To Director General Post Office - In reply to dated 23 August last trusts that the recent appointment of an Inspecting Post Master at # and Arracan will ensure the early improvement of the Mail communication on this line but no time should be lost in appointing paid and responssible Deputy Post Master at both those places and dispensing with the services of the ex officio Post Masters who should be required to discharge their duties in an official manner Requests at the same time that he will explain why so little progress has been made in the substitution of Deputy Post Master for ex officio and paid Post Masters this # of the mainimprovements recommended by the Post Offece commissioners.
