Read a Despatch from the Honble the Court of Directors No. 14 dated 17th Janunary last intimating that under recent arangements made will Her Majestys Government respecting the preparation of the charge of the contracts for the conveyance of the mails between England India China and Australia to be borne by Great Britain & by India respectively, the exemption from postage hither to granted to the Official correspondence of the East India Company with the Indian Government & with its officers & agents has ceased from the 15th December 1854.
