From Accountant General Government of India - Annexes copy of a letter from the Officiating Civil Architect shewing that owing to the want of details in the Invoice of the Gerturde it was impossible to discover the discription of articles short landed from that Vessel or to determine what sum should be claimed against for deficiency, the Bill of lading has therefore been sourrendered to the Agents of the Vessel on a general guarantee & requests that the Home Authorities be moved to furnish the details necessary to enable the Civil Architect to asertain the amount which is recoverable from the agents, adds that due care & attention should be observed in the preparation of shipping documents to prevent the inconveniences experienced in this Country.
