From Chief Secretary - With reference to Endorst hence No. 1353 of the 9 July last relating to the proposed arrangement for uniting the office of Administrator General with that of Government Pleader on a consolidated salary of Rs. 1,500 per mensem. States that the arrangement cannot immidately be carried out so as to effect an actual saving of expense as the Commission of Fees now received by the Administrator General at Madras, do not cover his expenses his not encloments fall belave the salary of Rs. 700 granted him by Government Were the salary Rs. 500 per mensem drawn by the Government Pleader trasnferred with the duties of that office to the Administrator General it would still be necessary to make him a further allowance of were than Rs. 300 a month to raise his pay to Rs. 1,500.
